I recorded this episode when I was in Charleston last (a year ago!) The audio quality sucks and I was sitting on a bed in an AirBnB, but I’m excited to share how I was feeling.

A year later, listening to myself talk about how excited I was for Charleston (and not realizing 2021 would be crazy, too) it’s hard to believe how far I’ve come.

So much went down after this trip, too. I got back from Charleston and had expressed intent to sign a lease when something came available. The first Friday in January, I signed a lease. 2 hours later, I got a phone call from my boss and got laid off. 3 days later I went in for a colonoscopy because they were worried I had colon cancer. So yeah, that was a horrible week!

But now, a year later, I’m happy and content for the first time in nearly a decade. I’m so proud of baby Jordi who never thought any of this was possible— the life I have, the friends I’ve made, the growth.

It’s been a year, but it’s been a good one.

tl;dr I’ve lived in Charleston for a year now and a lot has happened
